Community Recognition Statement

Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields) — The Rotary Club of Ingleburn embodies the ethos that good people build strong communities.

I would like to congratulate Gail Taylor who takes on her new role of Club President, as well as outgoing President, Bill Salter, for his commitment to our community.

Even in challenging times Rotary continues to dedicate themselves to others. I would also like to thank the club for inviting me to their Annual Changeover event. It was an excellent opportunity to reflect on their commitment to our community this year.

There is rarely an event where Ingleburn Rotary isn't raising awareness or funds for causes that lift those most in need.

Ingleburn Rotary's motto is 'service above self', however, no motto can capture the value of their service to our community.

Whether it's a sausage sizzle, packing food hampers for struggling students, or taking time out of their day for more fund-raising, Ingleburn Rotary always stands up for the most vulnerable members of our community.

It is my honour to recognise their efforts in this Parliament.
