Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields—Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections) — Congratulations Pembroke Lodge in Minto on 20 years of serving our local community. Pembroke Lodge is a modern, two-storey, 108-bed Aged Care facility which prides itself on making a difference in seniors' lives. The $12 million project that is now Pembroke Lodge was developed from greenfield by OLC Care. The build started in 2003, and the first resident moved in by October 2005. Since then, Pembroke Lodge has provided quality care to 1,300 senior residents while also providing more than 1,000 employment opportunities to the local community. Pembroke Lodge residents, family and staff will celebrate the 20th anniversary with a barbecue, music performances, mini games and a photo booth to capture special memories. I have visited Pembroke Lodge on numerous occasions and can attest to the quality care provided by dedicated teams and health professionals. The staff partner with loved ones and local communities to ensure a sense of belonging and companionship. I would like to thank Pembroke Lodge staff for their care and compassion.
