Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields—Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections) — On 3 May 2026, I had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Macarthur Multicultural Children's Festival. I have long been a supporter of the festival, which was launched in 2018, because a future built on tolerance, respect, and community harmony begins by promoting these values to our children. The festival is one of the largest multicultural events of the year in the Macarthur region. It is a wonderful demonstration of the rich cultural tapestry of South-West Sydney, featuring performances, cuisine, and cultural displays from across the world. It is especially heartening to see the spirit of multiculturalism celebrated and embraced in a way that is so closely connected to the next generation. I commend and congratulate Festival Director Mr Brian Laul, and everyone involved in the Macarthur Multicultural Children's Festival, on delivering a community celebration that fosters harmony across our community. I am a firm believer that there is far more that unites us than divides us. I trust that the Macarthur Multicultural Children's Festival will continue to promote greater cultural awareness and understanding for years to come.
