Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields—Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections) — Congratulations to 2026 Local Woman of the Year, Jennifer Watt, on being recognised for her generous contributions to our local community. A long-time Macquarie Fields resident, Jennifer has dedicated more than 40 years to volunteering, most notably as a coordinator of the Ingleburn Knitting Group. Through her leadership, the group has crafted items for Campbelltown and Liverpool hospitals, women's refuge centres and people living with dementia. Jennifer has played an instrumental role in the group's growth, from around 10 members to more than 50 regular participants. The group continues to thrive, providing an opportunity for seniors and people from all walks of life to connect, create and collaborate. Jennifer's volunteerism extends beyond knitting. Over many years, Jennifer has raised $14,000 through Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea fundraisers. Jennifer has also volunteered on school committees and supported local Girl Guides. I commend Jennifer's long-standing volunteering efforts and valuable contributions to our community, for which we are all very grateful.
