Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields—Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections) — I pay tribute to Libero (Fred) Soldatic, who passed away on 2nd November 2024. Libero was born in Jesenovik, Croatia on 4th March 1938. He came to Australia as a teenager. Libero arrived in Ingleburn with his wife Daisy in 1968, and they raised seven children. Over time, Libero became part of the Ingleburn community and a local business owner. Libero joined the Ingleburn Chamber of Commerce in 1973 and was an active member until declining health forced him to step back. He was awarded Life Membership of the Chamber for his contributions. During his time with the Chamber, Libero held various positions – President, Treasurer, Secretary and Director. Libero was one of the masterminds of the much-loved Ingleburn Alive festival, which continues to this day and is Ingleburn's opportunity to shine. Libero championed the establishment of the Ingleburn community policing centre and played an instrumental role in Ingleburn's outdoor café culture. Libero supported various charities and sporting organisations. Libero will be fondly remembered for his generous community spirit and contributions to our local area. He loved Ingleburn, and Ingleburn loved him. Rest in peace, Libero.
