Curran Public School - Future Problem Solving Fundraising Ball

Community Recognition Statement

Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields) (13:20): I was delighted to join local teachers, parents and people from our local community at the recent Future Problem Solving Fundraising Ball held at Ingleburn RSL to help raise much-needed funding to support Curran Public School's national champion students on their way to the United States of America. These kids are champions for not only becoming the first public school in New South Wales to win the competition but also for their thoughtfulness and dedication to their community and their classmates. I am very proud of them as they make their way to America to show the world what the kids from Macquarie Fields can achieve when they are given the opportunity and encouragement to learn and succeed. Whatever the outcome, in early June 2016 at the international competition, they will be fine ambassadors for their families, friends, this State and our nation. I take this opportunity to also recognise the leadership of principal Michael Strahan and his staff at Curran Public School. Michael and his staff are dedicated to the future of their school kids and they are determined to make sure their classrooms are filled with energy, enthusiasm and encouragement for learning.
