The chemist, in the heart of Macquarie Fields' shopping precinct, prides itself on community involvement and care. Pharmacist Sam Sleitini believes in giving back to the community which entrusts him and his team daily with looking after their health.

I recently paid a visit to the chemist for its World's Greatest Shave event, which raised $2,290 for vital cancer research. It is the fifth year the chemist has hosted the event, which continues to grow. It is testament to the chemist's commitment to the cause that other community organisations have come on board to lend their support, including the Lions Club of Ingleburn and Ingleburn Eagles Soccer Club.

The chemist's fundraising events help raise awareness of a range of health issues, including leukaemia, breast cancer, and Movember focusing on men's health issues. All community events are not-for-profit and aim to boost awareness as well as raise funds for health research.
