Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields—Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections)—I congratulate Ingleburn's Ms Annamaria Wood on being awarded an honorary Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2025 Australia Day honours. Annamaria was the chief executive officer of Disability Macarthur in Minto from 1996 to 2022, where she oversaw support services for disabled adults and children in our community. Annamaria has been a staunch advocate for people with disability since beginning her career as a community nurse more than 46 years ago. It was Annamaria's hard work over the years that helped establish Disability Macarthur as a wonderful community asset. Under Annamaria's exceptional leadership, Disability Macarthur grew considerably to an annual budget of around $4 million. Always family‑focused, Annamaria recognised the importance of lifelong disability support for the whole family. Over the years, Annamaria worked closely with local families and her enduring legacy will be one of the highest care and dedication to the local disability sector. Congratulations Annamaria on your award in recognition of your lifelong commitment to the disability sector. Our community is indebted for your dedicated service.
