Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields—Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections) — "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much," penned the late disability rights advocate, Helen Keller. This quote highlights the power of collective efforts, collaboration and teamwork. It reminds us that support is available through community and our shared purpose. No more is this evident than at ADRA Community Centre Macquarie Fields. The centre – Mallee Rose Cottage as it is affectionately known – is a thriving hub supporting our local community through a range of holistic programs: emergency food relief, counselling, domestic violence and homelessness support; faith-based fellowship; art therapy and empowering women's connection groups. I've been visiting ADRA Community Centre Macquarie Fields for more than a decade and can attest to its pivotal role in our community. ADRA is there to meet urgent and everyday needs with dignity. The centre hosts an off-the-street fortnightly barbecue, providing a safe space for community members to connect and access services. I commend Joanne Perry and all the team at ADRA Community Centre Macquarie Fields for its ongoing practical support, compassionate care, and meaningful connection for individuals and families in our community. Thank you.
