“This was a senseless act of terror on our Jewish community.

“I extend my deepest condolences to those affected by this tragedy, and I am keeping them in my thoughts at this extremely difficult time.

“I would like to thank NSW Police and emergency services for their courageous response, as well as everyday heroes who raced into danger and gave immediate comfort and care to those in need.

“Mental health support is available for those who it need it, and people are urged to donate blood if they can.

“This is a time for us to stand together against the hatred designed to divide us.”
