Join social media campaign to Stop the Squeeze

26 March 2018

State Member for Macquarie Fields, Anoulack Chanthivong MP, has launched a Stop the Squeeze social media campaign to send a message to the Berejiklian Liberal Government that our community is united against overdevelopment.

“I’ve had an overwhelming response to my Stop the Squeeze survey, with more than 2000 responses so far.

“People in our community have had enough of the Berejiklian Liberal Government’s contempt for our local area. They’re fed up with greedy developers destroying our green open spaces. They are angry and frustrated with overflowing commuter carparks, congestion on our roads, crowded trains with no air-conditioning and a new train timetable that makes long commutes even longer.

“What’s more, they value their suburban character and don’t want their suburbs to become a concrete forest of
high-rise monstrosities.

“Under the Berejiklian Liberal Government, our local area will be a dumping ground for greedy developers and our vital green open spaces will be swallowed up by more urban splatter. Local community voices matter and the State Government is not listening.

“Join my social media campaign to send a clear message to the Berejiklian Liberal Government that enough is enough and Stop the Squeeze!”
