Member for Macquarie Fields Anoulack Chanthivong MP has one annual Christmas tradition that doesn’t involve a ham or turkey. It is, of course, his annual Wish-List for the Macquarie Fields electorate, which he has rolled out year after year since first elected to NSW Parliament in 2015.
“My Christmas Wish-List highlights our community’s fight for its fair share and shines a light on services and infrastructure our community so desperately needs,” Mr Chanthivong said.
“The Liberal Government has ignored and short-changed our community for 12 years, so I put my 2022
wish-list to Santa to deliver for our community.”
Top of this year’s Wish-List is a Government you can trust.
“Let’s start with no more pork-barrelling or jobs for mates,” Mr Chanthivong said.
“Growing communities across South-West and Western Sydney are tired of being ignored by this Liberal Government. Infrastructure and services are severely lacking, and it is time for our fair share.”
Other items to make it on the 2022 Wish-List include:
- No forever tax on the family home;
- Fix the health and hospital crisis;
- More permanent teaching roles;
- Investment in domestic manufacturing;
- More secure jobs;
- Protect green open spaces;
- Invest in TAFE and training opportunities; and
- More footpaths and recreational areas.
“Lifts at Macquarie Fields Station, a high school in Edmondson Park, a Service NSW Centre in the Campbelltown Local Government Area and upgrades at Leacock Regional Park in Casula are some of the priorities for my community,” Mr Chanthivong said.
“I repeat a promise I have long made to my community: I will always fight for their fair share.
“Of course, this is my final Wish-List ahead of the March 2023 election and what I would really like Santa to deliver is a Chris Minns Labor Government and a fresh start for NSW,” Mr Chanthivong said.
“That would be a jolly good outcome and feel like all our Christmases have come at once.”
