2018 Community Building Partnership Program now open

02 May 2018

Member for Macquarie Fields Anoulack Chanthivong MP has announced that applications are now open for the 2018 Community Building Partnership Program, unlocking $30 million for community infrastructure projects across NSW.

Mr Chanthivong said $330,000 is available for projects in each NSW electorate, including Macquarie Fields, and urged local councils and not-for-profit groups to apply for the funds they need to deliver projects with social, environmental and recreational outcomes.

“Local sports clubs, charities, men’s sheds and Scouts or Girl Guides are just some of the groups the benefit from this program,” Mr Chanthivong said.

“If your organisation or club needs extra funding for the building, refurbishment or enhancement of facilities, then I’d strongly encourage you to apply.”

The Community Building Partnership program has awarded $275 million in funding to 12,000 community projects since it commenced in 2009.

“This is a great opportunity to get the support your community group needs to make real improvements in the places you meet, train or enjoy recreational activities.

“Take the time to prepare and submit your application so you don’t miss out.”

Applications are open from Monday 7 May and close at 5pm on Friday 15 June 2018. Applicants must read the program guidelines to ensure their club or organisation and proposed project are eligible.
